Included as part of The Farmhouse accommodation package is The Stables preparation room. Access to this area is available from 9 am the morning of the wedding until you leave to go to your ceremony. This is separate from the Main Barn Preparation Room which is included within your venue hire and available from 10 am the morning of your wedding.
Access is until you leave for your ceremony where you will then have exclusive access to the Main Barn preparation room for the rest of the day. The Stables will be locked so all of your belongings will be taken over to the barn preparation room during the ceremony by our venue team.
No, you would still get access to the Main Barn preparation room from 10 am the morning of your wedding as part of the venue hire.
We love (well-behaved) dogs and appreciate that they are a huge part of your family. They are welcome to join you for the ceremony and photographs. We have dog friendly bedrooms in Rose Barn. Please speak to the team for more information. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in The Farmhouse, Hayloft and Lavender Barn.
Clock Barn is wheelchair accessible. We also have fully accessible bedrooms for overnight guests in The Farmhouse and Rose Barn.
We strongly recommend that you take out wedding insurance. Weddings are a big investment, and fingers crossed that you’ll never need to call on your insurance but having it in place will cover you for a range of eventualities.
From the moment you arrive along the Clock Barn driveway, you will see some fantastic backdrops for your photographs. As part of the venue hire, you will have exclusive use of the seasonally flowering Clock Barn garden, which is a firm favourite for those all-important group shots! In addition, you will have access to a beautiful adjacent paddock featuring a unique stable and other interesting photographic backdrops. Visit our Gallery for inspiration.
The Barn has an efficient heating system which warms it up quickly during cold winter months. On warmer days, the same system keeps the Barn cool and the Barn doors open, giving you access in to the garden.
Our full directions can be found online, bringing your guests to the main driveway just outside the village of Whitchurch. Our Sat Nav postcode is RG28 7RB and what3words – ///number.wager.alien. We have ample space for all your guests to park in our car park. They are welcome to leave cars overnight but do need to collect them the following morning between 8 am and 11 am.
Clock Barn does not take any responsibility for any vehicles or their contents left in the car park area. Local taxi details can be found on our online suppliers list, and the nearest train stations are Whitchurch, Micheldever and Winchester.
We are delighted to host live bands at Clock Barn and simply ask that they are aware of our noise limit and that they hold and can provide us with their public liability insurance and PAT certificates. In terms of size, a four-piece band is the biggest that the Barn can comfortably accommodate. Many couples choose to have an acoustic musician, such as a harpist or string quartet, play during their ceremony or wedding breakfast. We also have an in-house background music system should you wish to create your own playlist as background music.
We are very happy for natural flower petals to be thrown in the garden but, unfortunately can’t allow them within the Barn. As Clock Barn is situated among farmland and near thatched buildings, we are not able to allow fireworks, sparklers, sky lanterns or firepits.
Unfortunately, we don’t allow bubbles within the Barn. However, we are happy for them to be used in our garden.
At Clock Barn, we offer cream bunting for the ceremony area included in your venue hire price. You may also provide your own bunting if you wish. Please speak to the Events team for measurements.
We are happy for candles to be lit on the round dining tables in The Main Barn, provided that they are supplied in a sturdy and enclosed holder and a maximum of five candles per table. We ask that if you wish to have candlelight in The Stable Room or the Dance Floor area, you use battery-operated candles, which can easily be bought online or supplied by your florist. We also ask that candles are not used around the outside walls of the Barn as this is clearly a fire risk.
Yes, we can provide up to three high chairs. Please do let us know if you require these so we can ensure they are available for you on your wedding day.
Unfortunately, drones are not permitted at Clock Barn. There are plenty of stunning backdrops both indoors and outdoors for photo and video opportunities to get amazing footage of your day.
