The Stables

If you’re looking for a calming, spacious hideaway where you can prepare for your wedding day in the company of your closest friends and family, you will absolutely adore The Stables. Clock Barn’s former stables have been transformed into a delightful wedding preparation area that’s full of pretty details and perfectly practical little extras.

You’ve got plenty of space to share with your bridesmaids inside The Stables, even if you’ve opted for a big bridal party! You’ll find a huge mirror and a stylish chaise longue inside along with an immaculate hair and makeup station made from reclaimed timber. The Stables really does have everything you need to prepare yourselves from great lighting and hooks for dresses to plenty of tea and coffee ingredients, all tucked inside the antique sideboard.

Emily also designed Tufton Warren Farmhouse, Clock Barn’s guest accommodation.

“The key was to keep as much of the space’s character as possible, so the original stable doors are in place and the original boards are on the ceiling. We’ve also added a new oak floor and beautiful bathroom fittings to make it a very special space. I’m so happy that we’ve been able to keep so much of the original structure and retain the character of The Stables.”

“The colour palette is purposely neutral, along with leathers and linens, so that it doesn’t clash with your colour scheme for the day. We didn’t want your bridesmaids’ dresses and flowers lost in the decoration so we’ve let all the natural details in the space sing.”

The Hayloft

At the end of the most momentous day of your life, you want to retire to a luxurious, indulgent and truly memorable space. The Hayloft is just that. Offering stylish, secluded and super special accommodation, our new honeymoon suite is a newlywed’s dream.

The ‘upside down’ accommodation, with the bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs, is a great surprise and you will find so many extra special additions scattered throughout. There are exposed beams and a beautiful wallpaper mural upstairs, a huge double shower in the bathroom along with cool hexagonal tiles, plus the incredibly impressive free-standing roll top bath in the bedroom. This is certainly a honeymoon suite to cherish.

“The design of The Hayloft is an extension of the style we’ve created for Tufton Warren Farmhouse and we set out to create a retreat for couples at the end of the really hectic day,” says Emily. “It’s a cosy space with a real sense of seclusion.”

“Again, we have used lots of natural materials in The Hayloft, with a neutral colour palette finished with hints of green and pink for warmth. There are natural patterns too, with willow branches and peacock feathers, a nod to Clock Barn’s rural location.”
